Vancouver Latin American Film Festival – Special Presentation

Sergio Campusano

Granville 7 Cinemas, 855 Granville Street (@ Robson)

Filmmakers Carmen Henríquez & Denis Paquette will be in attendance.

One of the film’s principal participants, Sergio Campusano, of the Diaguitas Huascoaltinos, was to have attended but unfortunately he, along with several other indigenous people who were to have attended local events regarding mining, has suddenly been denied a visa to enter Canada. There was no such issue when he originally visited Toronto, as seen in the film itself. We can only speculate upon the reasons why this might have changed.

There will be a reception following the film in the cinema lobby, sponsored in part by the Chilean Consulate in Vancouver.

See the film and hear the latest developments in the Hausco Valley, directly from Sergio Campusano himself — and find out why he’s not just here for this screening….
